EVIDENCE

Evidence

How did life begin on earth?

There are only two possibilities:

1. Life is the result of random, undirected, chemical reactions over billions of earth years. The very few and simple chemical molecules that were present on earth before life existed (pre-biotic earth) reacted totally at random with each other over millions or billions of years to eventually result in the highly complex molecules that carry the massive amounts of information necessary to develop and support life on earth. Some examples of these molecules in humans are DNA, highly complex proteins, polysacharides and nucleic acids. These and other complex molecules further reacted in random and undirected ways to give rise to cells capable of creating and passing on life, resulting in living beings.

2. Life is the result of the creative action of an intelligent being, the Creator, capable of the meticulous and sophisticated design of humans and all life on earth, and also of the habitats required for them to thrive in.

Which of the two is the most likely possibility?

So far, scientists in the best labs, using the best existing technologies, have been unable to synthesize under the pre-biotic earth conditions any of the molecules referred to above. They have also been unable to synthesize, under any conditions, the “simple” membrane of a living cell, without which no life can exist. Based on this evidence, the most accurate scientific conclusion is that possibility number 1 is most unlikely. Therefore it follows logically that possibility number 2 is most likely.

Does God exist?

Based on the best scientific and fully objective evidence available, one can clearly conclude that the probability that God does exist is so extremely high as to be safely considered a certainty: God does exist.

Does God communicate with people?

Based on the evidence above, it is reasonable to assume that the Creator communicates with the beings that He has created. The substantial evidence that supports this statement is too large to be considered here.

What is God’s purpose for people?

God’s purpose for people is to give every human being an opportunity to live forever in relationship with Him. Death is the end of earthly life for every person, including you. God will resurrect everyone. Those who put their faith in Jesus will live with God forever. Those who rejected Jesus and those whose consciences accuse them of sinning against God will go into eternal punishment in Hell. Yes, Hell does exist.

How do you respond to the evidence above?

If you don’t know God already:

1. You can ignore the evidence and be assured that you will go into eternal punishment.

2. You can pay attention to the evidence and find out how you can accept Jesus as your Saviour and live with God forever.

The choice is yours.

God’s Plan

MANKIND’S PROBLEM

Words of the Apostle Paul: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21For even though they knew God, they did not honour Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22Professing to be wise, they became fools. (Romans 1:18-22)

GOD’S SOLUTION TO MANKIND’S PROBLEM

Words of the Apostle Peter about Jesus: 12There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

Words of Jesus about Himself: 37All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. 38For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. 40For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day. (John 6:37-40)

16For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:16-18)

I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. (John 14:6)

He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. (John 3:36)

Words of the Apostle Paul about Salvation in Jesus: 9That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

TO RECEIVE GOD’S SALVATION THROUGH CHRIST

1 Admit to God that you are a sinner, repent from your sins and ask God for forgiveness.

2 Believe in faith that Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross, that He was buried and that, on the third day after his death, God the Father raised Him up bodily from the dead.

3 By faith, ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and give you His gift of eternal life. Receive Him as your Lord, God and Saviour of your life. Accept your new life in Christ.

4 Get a Bible and begin to read the Gospel of John. You can also read it online at biblegateway.com [a good translation is the New American Standard Bible 1995].

5 Find a church that is totally focused on the Bible and is faithful to its teachings.

6 Be baptized by immersion as a public proclamation of your new life in Christ.

7 Pray daily to Jesus for His guidance.
