Praise Report

‘Your kingdom come. Your will be done,”
(Matthew 6:9-10)

  • Grateful for the CBOQ staff who are lifting our church up in prayer this week.
  • Praise for the growing relationship with GlenOak Academy staff, and for meaningful opportunities to serve and support their Open House this month.
  • Praise for our youth as they prepare to lead worship in a few weeks, that they would serve with confidence, unity, and hearts devoted to God.
  • Praise for a successful surgery and smooth recovery for Brody M., and for wisdom, strength, and compassion as we support him during this season of his life.
  • Praise for continued encouragement and transformation among the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec churches participating in the current Revitalization cohort, and for powerful testimonies of what God is doing in their congregations.
  • For the Executive Council, that the Lord will grant wisdom, unity, and guidance as they work together in preparation for the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
  • Give thanks for the faithful and generous giving of those who support the ministries of LPBC, and pray that God will continue to provide the resources needed to carry out His work through our church. 🙏
  • We pray for the choir as they lead us this Sunday.  May You guide them, fill them with Your Spirit, and be glorified through their service as we gather to worship You.

Healing

“Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers,” (3 John 1:2)

  • Lifting up Warren’s mom, Betty, as she remains in the hospital. We thank God for the treatment she has received and pray for wisdom, strength, and ongoing care as additional health concerns are addressed.
  • Praying for Glacia D.’s brother-in-law, Max Brown (in D.C.), as he battles a health condition. May he be relieved from pain and discomfort, and may his wife and family find strength and peace as they remain by his side.
  • For Glacia D., that despite her recent diagnosis with Parkinson’s, she would continue to place her hope and trust in the Lord each day, and remain steadfast in her faith, believing Him for healing.
  • Pray for Kevin, Pier T.’s cousin in North Carolina. A couple of years ago we prayed for the cancer in his spine, and we thank God that it was healed at that time. Sadly, the cancer has returned in a different form. Kevin is now undergoing radiation and chemotherapy and has had a difficult reaction to the chemotherapy medication. Please pray for God’s healing, strength, and comfort for Kevin, and for wisdom for the doctors caring for him. 🙏
  • Remember our shut-ins who are battling ongoing health issues; ask the Lord to touch them with His healing hand and surround them with sustaining grace day by day.
  • Give thanks to God for the progress in Ken (John G.’s son) and pray for his complete restoration and renewed strength.
  • Intercede for Joe L., asking for a miraculous healing of his liver and for divine wisdom to rest on his medical team as they plan the next steps.
  • Pray for Tricia L. (Stuart’s wife) during her kidney treatment; may God’s mercy bring full restoration and health to her kidneys.
  • Lift up Dorothy, Ruth M.’s friend, as she recovers from cancer; surround her with the peace of Christ and the tangible presence of God on every step of her healing journey.

Church

“Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest”  (Matthew 9:38)

  • For the upcoming AGM this Sunday.
  • For GlenOak Academy’s Open House on May 31—that we would support them well and engage wisely with staff, campers, and parents.
  • For the upcoming Revitalization Town Hall, as we invite volunteers to serve in various roles.
  • Pray that God will raise up and send labourers to LPBC, equipping and enabling our church to faithfully carry out the Great Commission. May He guide and strengthen those who serve and call others to join in His work. 🙏
  • For a ministry leader who will faithfully support and engage young adults, nurturing their faith and growth in Jesus Christ.
  • That we would have the courage to share our faith, growing deeper in our understanding and obedience to God’s Word.
  • For Evelyn, our sponsored child, that she would feel loved and come to know that God has a purposeful plan for her life.

  • Praying for the CBOQ staff as they prepare for the Assembly in June, that all necessary arrangements would come together for a meaningful gathering.
  • For the families and community in Louisiana grieving the tragic loss of eight children who were recently killed.
  • Pray for the ongoing peace efforts between Israel and Lebanon, as well as among Israel, the United States, and Iran, that all parties would act in good faith, honor their commitments, and work toward peace and the well-being of their people.
  • For our Canadian government, that they would have wisdom and discernment in addressing economic challenges and in developing effective strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of all Canadians.
  • Pray for God’s protection over our families, that He would shield them from the evil one and guard them from every deceptive scheme.
