Praise Report

“O come, let us sing for joy to the L ORD , Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our
salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, Let us shout joyfully to
Him with psalms,” (Psalm 95:1-3)

  • Praise for the CBOQ pastors faithfully serving in their churches this season.
  • Gratitude for the Youth Unlimited volunteer accompanying Rev. Karen to Camp Kwasind for the youth retreat.
  • Thankfulness for the youths registered to attend the CBOQ Ascent Youth Retreat next weekend.
  • Appreciation for the commitment of EC members diligently preparing for the fall budget meeting.
  • Recognition for the dedication of ministry leaders organizing programs at LPBC.
  • Thankfulness for the tithes, offerings, and everyone contributing in various ways at LPBC.
  • Praise for the choir as they prepare to lead the congregation in worship this coming Sunday.

Comfort

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)

  • Seeking comfort and peace in the midst of passing of Anthony in the Czech Republic, Sylvia’s dear brother-in-law. Pray for God to envelop Sylvia and her family in His loving arms during this difficult time, granting them the strength and solace they need to navigate their grief.

Healing

“Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise,” ( Jeremiah 17:14 )

  • That Suren S. (Benjamin’s dad) recovers well post surgery.
  • Prayers for Rev. Pam Cullen as she perseveres through her fifth round of chemotherapy, with hopes for a positive response to the treatment.
  • Remember our shut-ins who are facing ongoing health challenges. May they experience God’s healing touch and sustaining grace.
  • Give thanks for Ken (John G.’s son) and pray for continued progress toward full health and restoration.
  • Prayers for Joe L.’s miraculous healing of his liver as he places his trust in the Lord each day.
  • Lift up Daria (wife of Anton Y., concert conductor), asking for daily strength and healing in her journey through cancer.
  • Pray for Tricia L. (Stuart’s wife) as she undergoes kidney treatment. May her kidneys be restored to full health through God’s mercy.
  • Pray for Dorothy, a friend of Ruth M., as she recovers from cancer. May she experience God’s peace and presence throughout her healing journey.

Church

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few.
Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest,”
(Matthew 9:37-38)

  • For all youths and leaders who are planning to attend Ascent GTA (CBOQ Youth Retreat) next weekend.
  • Prayers for congregation members who will volunteer their time to support youth on youth nights.
  • Lift up our young adult ministry, praying that it will be a space where lives are transformed and faith in Jesus deepens meaningfully.
  • Pray that we, as a church community, would grow in boldness to share our faith, rooted in a deeper understanding of God’s Word.
  • Pray for Evelyn, our sponsored child, that she would feel deeply loved and come to know that God has a unique and beautiful plan for her life.
  • Ask the Lord to stir hearts toward baptism, and that more individuals would make the decision to publicly declare their faith in the upcoming baptism service.
  • Intercede for our unsaved loved ones, that they may surrender their lives to Jesus and receive His salvation before His return.
  • Pray that God would help us recognize the needs in our local community and give us the courage and resources to make meaningful, Spirit-led connections.

National & Global

“All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations,” ( Psalms 22:27-28 )

  • For the Caribbean islands affected by Hurricane Melissa, especially the severely impacted areas of Jamaica, Haiti, Cuba, and the Bahamas, as they cope with widespread grief and loss.
  • For relief agencies to have unimpeded access to these regions, providing essential food, shelter, and clothing.
  • For the peace talks between Israel and Hamas, and between Russia and Ukraine, to be acknowledged by all parties, allowing families to receive the urgent care they need.
  • For the current U.S. administration to exercise caution regarding nuclear weapons testing.
  • Lift up the city of Mississauga, asking for protection and safety for all residents amid the recent rise in crime.
  • Pray for unity and wisdom as federal and provincial governments work together to resolve ongoing tariff disputes with the United States.
  • Ask that Christians across Canada remain faithful in prayer, interceding regularly for our nation and its leaders.
