Praise Report

  • For the choir leading worship this coming Sunday.
  • For everyone who were involved with the ordination examining council process for Pastor Laura Sellakandu and for the successful outcome.
  • For all the ministries that have resumed for the new year and the individuals serving in them.
  • For Eric Yao’s extensive efforts to upgrade our eBlast and regularly update our website and Facebook pages.
  • For the individual who has expressed interest in providing resources to enhance the worship experience.

Comfort

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
2 Corinthians 1:3,4

  • For the family of Rev. Dr. Bruce Neal as they mourn the loss of his beloved wife, Barbara Neal. May they find comfort and may the peace of God envelop them during this difficult time.

Healing

“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself,
is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2

  • For Daria Y. (wife of recent concert conductor), receiving treatment for stage 4 cancer. Let’s pray that she would experience complete healing and wholeness in her body.
  • For Ruth M. experiencing health challenges and that she would trust the Lord for her healing.
  • For healing and wholeness for Kevin’s (Pier’s cousin in US) who has been  diagnosed with cancer in his spine.
  • Healing for Joe from a liver condition that periodically requires a medical procedure.
  • For Fraiser, (Joe and Barb’s friend) is home from rehab and on the waiting list for liver transplant. Pray that Fraiser will encounter God on this journey.
  • For Tricia L. (Stuart’s wife) receiving kidney treatment. That her kidneys will be restored to health.
  • For a miracle over Beverly H. to be healed in her body. Free from any and every trace of cancer in Jesus’ name. That her body will respond to every treatment.
  • For a healing miracle for Dorothy, Ruth M.’s friend, and Linda, a friend of the Pancorvo family, as they courageously battle cancer.  That they will experience a mighty touch from the Lord that will bring glory to His Holy name.

Church

“’…Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
I will be found by you,’ declares the Lord…” Jeremiah 29:12-14a

  • That everyone at LPBC develops a deep hunger to spend time in prayer and in God’s Word.
  • For the revitalization team as they reconnect for the second year, focusing on the topic of “mission audit.”
  • That LPBC will discover ways to connect with individuals visiting our building through various rental opportunities.
  • For those who struggle during this time of year with seasonal affect disorder (SAD).
  • That the spirit of intercession flows through us and we will stand in the gap for the salvation of our children, friends and the neighbourhood.
  • That the newcomers receive their work permits and find jobs that will enable them to work and find affordable housing.
  • That we will be open to how the Lord would want us to reach out to each other and to our new neighbours through the housing development in Port Credit and Clarkson.

National & Global

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace.
In the world you have tribulation but take courage;
I have overcome the world” John 14:1, 16:33.

  • For families displaced by the wildfires in California and for those grieving the loss of loved ones.
  • That God’s will be fulfilled as the Liberal Government searches for a new leader, and for a sense of order within the federal government during this turbulent time.
  • For families mourning the loss of loved ones from the recent plane crashes in Russia, South Korea and Southern California.
  • For families mourning the loss of loved ones after the heinous act of terrorism in New Orleans and shootings across Canada. That these families will be comforted and supported in every possible way.
  • That the Canadian leaders have wisdom in addressing the possible tariffs proposed by president elect and for navigating any challenge that may present itself.
  • Against the ongoing tensions in the middle east. For the de-escalation of wars that would bring peace for the countries and nationals within their lands.
  • Shield Canadians from the impact of political unrest that has been surfacing in parliament. That a change of government will be orchestrated by you God and Canada uphold moral values in this generation.
